Gundam card rarities

Every rarity code the Gundam Card Game prints, top of the ladder down, with what each code means and the most expensive card in it. Promo printings are kept out of the base tiers: distribution rather than scarcity sets their price, so a prize card would misrepresent what a pull of that rarity is worth.

  1. LR++The scarcest treatment in the game - a handful per set, and consistently the most expensive pulls.14 priced printsWing Gundam Zero (EW)$3,687.46
  2. LR+Alt-art foil Legend Rares. Every Legend Rare has one, and it trades well above its base print.90 priced printsWing Gundam Zero$293.77
  3. LRLegend Rare, the top base rarity. One per box on average, and the anchor most set values are built on.98 priced printsGundam Barbatos 1st Form$36.72
  4. R+Alt-art rares - the mid tier where playability and scarcity overlap most often.100 priced printsMarida Cruz$166.71
  5. RThe base Rare. Several per box, so almost all of them are cheap - the exceptions are the ones a tier-one deck wants four of.191 priced printsArgama$13.88
  6. U+Alt-art uncommons. Low base rarity, but the parallel treatment makes several of them chase cards.18 priced printsOverflowing Affection$279.60
  7. UThe base Uncommon. Price here is playability, not scarcity: a staple Uncommon can out-trade a Rare that no deck runs.215 priced printsOverflowing Affection$3.03
  8. C++So far this is one card: the full-art Resource, one per booster set. A Common code on a print nobody opens casually, which is why it prices like a chase card rather than a common.4 priced printsResource$98.65
  9. C+Alt-art commons. Cheap as a rule, with occasional exceptions where a staple gets a parallel.191 priced printsEX Resource$870.13
  10. CThe base Common, and the biggest slice of the catalog. Nearly all of it trades for pocket change.517 priced printsZaku Ⅱ$7.80
  11. PromoEvent, prize and participation printings. Distribution rather than rarity drives these prices.81 priced printsEX Base$261.17
