How Suppression works

When a Unit with <Suppression> deals attack damage to shields, it hits the first two cards of the shield area at once instead of just the top one. Every attack that connects costs the opponent double, so six shields only absorb three attacks.

Playing with and against it

Halving the number of attacks a defender can absorb warps their blocking math. Letting a Suppression attack through is twice as expensive, so they get pushed into blocking it even when the block is bad. That is why Suppression pairs so well with effects that punish blocks or make the attacker hard to block in the first place. On defense, stop the attack outright. Trading shields with a Suppression deck is a race you lose.
