How 【During Pair】 works

【During Pair】 effects apply continuously while the Unit has a Pilot paired with it. Any Pilot will do, whether or not it matches the link condition. The moment the Pilot leaves, the effect switches off.

The gated form 【During Pair】【Destroyed】 shows up across the card pool, and official rulings confirm the strict reading. The 【Destroyed】 half only fires if the Unit was paired when it was destroyed. Keyword grants conditioned on battling such Units check the pair state too, so an unpaired copy doesn't count as having the effect.
